Position Overview
 
The Director of Operations will oversee the day-to-day operational activities of our construction projects, ensuring excellence in execution, project performance, and team development. This individual will work closely with executive leadership, project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure that all projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
 
Procore experience is required, as the Director will utilize it extensively for project management, reporting, and team coordination.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Oversee and manage the company’s construction operations, from pre-construction through project completion.
  • Develop and refine operational systems, processes, and best practices to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to project managers, superintendents, and support staff.
  • Ensure projects align with company goals, client expectations, budgets, and schedules.
  • Monitor and report key performance metrics to the executive team.
  • Drive company-wide safety culture and compliance with OSHA and internal standards.
  • Utilize Procore for project management, documentation, scheduling, cost tracking, and communication.
  • Collaborate with estimating, accounting, and procurement departments to improve overall workflow.
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor performance to ensure adherence to quality and timelines.
  • Identify areas for operational improvement and lead change initiatives.
  • Support business development efforts by assisting with proposals, presentations, and client relationships.
 
 
Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in construction operations management or similar leadership roles.
  • Proven experience leading multi-million-dollar turnkey concrete projects.
  • Procore proficiency required — strong command of project management and reporting tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep understanding of construction processes, building codes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
