BlueStar Studios Project | Commercial Concrete Construction

Jamison Construction played a key role in the BlueStar Studios project, delivering high-quality concrete solutions for this dynamic development. With a mix of new construction and historic preservation, this project required precision and expertise to ensure durability, functionality, and seamless integration with both modern and refurbished structures.

As part of the project, our team poured 41,033 square feet of 6-inch slab-on-grade (SOG), using 770 cubic yards of concrete to create a strong and stable foundation. We also formed and poured approximately 23,856 square feet of concrete paving across various locations, ensuring smooth and durable surfaces for vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

In addition to the paving work, we formed and poured 8,181 square feet of sidewalks, enhancing accessibility and walkability throughout the site. Our work also included 5,500 linear feet of curb and gutter (C&G), providing essential drainage and site infrastructure support. A storm vault was also constructed, contributing to the project’s drainage and water management system.

One of the unique aspects of this project was the careful demolition and concrete pour-backs within the historic buildings that were being refurbished. This process required a balance of precision and craftsmanship to integrate new concrete elements while preserving the integrity of the original structures.
